Counseling Approach:
I have been honored to serve as a psychotherapist for 12 years.
I approach mental health service from an existential and interpersonal/relational perspective. I integrate interpersonal neurobiology and attachment theory to support healing and integration. I specialize in the tricky place of: our relationship with ourselves. I emphasize our capacity to actively cultivate peace, agency, compassion, and attitudinal healing in response to suffering.
I intentionally attend to the impact of vast systemic and personal traumas on our bodies, minds, and spirits—as well as the realities of power and control in both the therapeutic field and our broader culture. I am especially curious about how technology and media are shaping our inner lives, and how they impact developmental pathways for youth.
Alongside my clinical work, I explore the ethical design of AI systems through a mental health lens. I believe that the future of care must include thoughtful, trauma-informed digital tools that serve as bridges—not replacements—for embodied, relational healing. My current research and development work centers on trauma-informed AI design, digital co-regulation, and safeguarding emotional development in the age of large language models (LLMs).
I am a proud member of AI Mental Health Collective and contributor to a range of thought leadership on the impacts of AI/LLM use on mental health.
I am trained in multiple clinically proven disciplines for personal change including:
